Simply add 3-6 drops (or enough to coat the lava stones) of straight essential oil to the 3 Lava Stones in the middle and enjoy! 
 
Depending on the oil you use, the beads will diffuse the scent from anywhere from a couple of hours to 2 days. Citrus oils usually dissipate more quickly than base notes, like Sandalwood or Vetiver.
